Accommodations

The Camp Polari experience is a three day long beach-front queer celebration with electronic dance music, fun prizes, and crafts to keep us entertained and delighted in our community all weekend long. This year's splashy event takes place 20 miles south of Tillamook, Oregon in a magical mystical land of over 200 acres, where the forest meets the Pacific, and we have a gorgeous private view of Cape Lookout.

There is a communal indoor space, ample outdoor fields to lounge around and star gaze, and a vast [mostly] private beach with ocean access. Please be aware of the tides if you choose to go swimming. Those can be found here.

The cost of the ticket for the campout includes entry to the campground, (2) raffle tickets, and a delicious and nutritious meal, with both vegetarian and meat options, that will accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions. There will be an abundance of coffee for campers with milks and sugar. We will, however, not be providing lunch, so please be mindful and pack accordingly.

All water is potable so we can drink anything, anywhere, all the time

Camp Polari has 9 individual campsites, 8 of which are equipped with their own sleeping quarters, compostable toilets, wash stations, and covered lounge area/picnic table. The last campsite is for tent camping, and does NOT come with any of these amenities (hence the discounted price). Campers will be assigned a campsite upon arrival based on group size and accessibility needs.

If you have a specific accessibility need, please reach out and contact us at camporganizers2023@gmail.com

Mini Dak Campsites

Campsite toilets are compostable toilets, meaning nothing but the paper and what comes from our bodies goes in the toilets. No sanitary tools, cigarettes, joints, food scraps, nothing except what was mentioned.

All campsites will have a fire extinguisher onsite in the event of an emergency. That being said, THERE WILL BE NO FIRES ALLOWED AT CAMP POLARI.

The sleeping quarters are called mini-daks which are used in lue of a tent and are far more durable. They sleep 2 people in each structure (very few mini-daks are single bunk daks), equipped with a shelf. You will need to bring your own bedding, pillow, and/or comfy cozy materials to feel snug as a bug in a rug.

Tent Camping

There are a couple campgrounds that have tent camping, and then there is a designated tent-only campsite which was an archery field (no archery will be happening during our stay).

The campsites that have room for tents include

  • Siletz has (6) 2-person tent spots

  • Killamook has (3) 2-person tent spots

  • Archery Range has room for (30) 2-person tent spots

    • There are no amenities in the archery range, but it is quiet and soft with velvety grass. This is also first come, first serve.

Shower House

There is a 19 room shower house with each room being equipped with a standing shower, toilet, and washbasin. There is 1 ADA compliant bathroom as well.

Not all 19 shower rooms will be open because guess who has to clean them afterwards? However, half of them will be open, which we anticipate to be more than plenty.

Please use these bathrooms for what they’re meant to be, and nothing more, for the convenience and courtesy of everyone at the event. We appreciate your compliance and encourage you to have safe and clean fun (just not in the bathrooms please).
